What better way to spend a night out than going to see an action-packed movie with the world’s most famous superheroes?  In what was destined to be a blockbuster movie, Marvel’s The Avengers brought in huge crowds; according to marvel.com and related movie sites, Avengers had the number-one movie opening weekend ever. With an-all star cast including Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and Chris Evans as Captain America, this action-packed adaptation of the Marvel comic book series left few disappointed.

The Avengers was a great combination of action and a well-written and humorous story line. Many who attended initial showings came prepared with Avengers-themed t-shirts. A few die-hard fans even donned costumes, making opening night seem more like a comic book convention than a premiere. However, attendees unfamiliar with the comic book or movie series were able to enjoy the movie as well, as writers built in elements of movies made in recent years about most of the film’s heroes.
