Simon Espejo is a junior at Washington-Lee. This is his first year on the Crossed Sabers staff. He is involved in extracurricular activities inside and out of school such as soccer, volleyball, and LASA. He enjoys binge watching Supernatural, playing the ukulele, going for bike rides, and playing with his dog. After school, he volunteers at the Central Library and Claremont Elementary School. This passed summer, he travelled to the Dominican Republic for a month and lived in a poor rural community working alongside local youth to improve living situations. This year he hopes to write impactful articles and become a better journalist.
