The orchestra and choral departments returned Sunday, April 15, from the Philadelphia Heritage Music Festival with several awards. Under the direction of conductors Mrs. Katie St. Pierre and Ms. Theresa Severin (respectively), Washington-Lee groups brought home the following awards:

1st place gold–W-L Women’s Chorale

1st place gold–W-L Madrigal Singers

1st place gold–W-L Chamber Orchestra

2nd place silver–W-L Philharmonic Orchestra

Choral Sweepstakes–Best Overall Choirs

Instrumental Sweepstakes–Best Overall Instrumental Groups

Choral Adjudicators Award–Best in Category–Mixed Choir

Choral Adjudicators Award–Best in Category–Orchestras

Grand Champion–Outstanding School Music Program
