Feelin’ the Love

The school had it’s annual “Love Week” from February 12-16 which included being greeted in the morning by stickers and chocolate, a blood drive, a general’s period (GP) door decorating contest, and a compliment wall. “Love week was a way to promote the blood drive,” sophomore senator Ella Taylor said. “We encouraged a lot of people to donate.”

With a donut party on the line, GPs competed in a Love Week Door Decorating contest with different themes such as kindness and caring. The “Caring” theme of Ms. Maria Sotomayor‘s GP came in first place, followed by the “Black History and Kindness” theme of Ms. Kyrie Michaud’s GP in second place. “The GP door decorating contest was very fun,” sophomore Sophie Muir said. “The project united our GP”

Love week is a time to recognize all the loving people in the school community. “Love week was a great way for people to share love through donating blood, Singing Valentines, and giving/ receiving compliments to your peers” junior Haoming Huang said. “It was fun to give compliments to your peers.”
